Do I Need any Special Equipment?
Callback works with any true touch-tone phone. But you don't have to have a touch-tone phone to take advantage of the savings. An inexpensive, pocket-sized tone dialer, available in any electronics store, turns any phone into a true touch-tone.
I don't have international direct dial service. Can I still use callback?
With our providers yes, you can. Our service has a specially designed feature to accommodate people without direct dial service. Just log on to the Internet, go to the Internet trigger website, and trigger your callback from there!
Do I have to change my existing long distance carrier to use callback?
No, using callback does not affect your existing carriers in any way.
Can I Change the Number Where I receive callback?
Absolutely, our callback travels with you. You can use a phone to reprogram your location number (the phone number where you receive your call-backs) at any time. When you're staying in a hotel, you can even program callback to ask for you by name and room number. Changes can also easily be made online.
What About Customer Service?
Customer Support representatives are available every day of the week to answer your questions and solve any problems you may be having with callback service. Hours for phone assistance are standard US business hours. Other hours require email or trouble ticket access.
Can I use callback if I am staying at a hotel or other place where all calls must go through a switchboard?
Yes, you can. All you would need to do would be to call Customer Service and have them set your account to Hotel mode. With a Hotel mode account, upon receiving your return callback, you will hear the prompt "This is a call for (your name)." You can even program your hotel room number so that the operator will be able to put your call through immediately. Upon receiving the call, just enter the destination number after you hear the prompt "Please enter the number you wish to dial". Dial as usual (country code, city code, number).
Can I make more than one call without dialing the Access Number again?
Yes. If you want to make another call, press the * button on your phone twice (**). You will get a new dial tone and you can dial your next number.
Can I use callback for my business?
Of course. In fact, Callback makes a lot of sense if international calling is a critical part of your business. There's no limit on the amount of Access Numbers you can request. Multiple Access Numbers are a great way not only to save money, but to track your monthly phone expenses. You can assign access numbers to employees, and even to fax machines and cellular phones. At the end of each month you receive a single statement summarizing all your company's international calls by Access Number. You'll know exactly who called where and how much it cost.
How Do I Pay?
Paying is easy. Callback accepts all major credit cards, including American Express, Visa, MasterCard, Diners Club and JCB. Your card is automatically charged against monthly usage. note: if usage reaches $200 before month end, your credit card will be charged for the amount due at that time. You can access an itemized summary of your calls, listed by access number and including date and time, length and cost, telephone numbers where calls were made, and origin and destination, in real time on our website.
UWT accepts prepayment by PayPal, Western Union Quick Pay service, bank wire transfer and check.
